Soccer Club is starting soon! Charlotte Soccer Factory After School Academy will begin at OP on February 7th! Practices will be on Tuesdays from 3:15-4:15pm from 2/7 until 5/31.

As you may know, Mr. Soler's wife was hospitalized last Tuesday to treat for for the flu at CMC Main. She had to be intubated and today was placed on a ventilator to help her breathe and release the pressure from her lungs from a severe case of pneumonia. Many of you have been praying for her and we ask that you continue to pray for her so she may recover and come home.

OP’s Together We Grow Annual Fundraiser has officially begun!
We partied at the Fall Festival to start us off and now it’s time to get to work! Let’s show our dedication to keeping OP the place to be!
This year our goal is to raise $45,000 to help make our school the best we can! We will continue to update our media center’s collection, purchase classroom supplies, fund field trips and support our teachers, their training, our garden program and so much more!
The funds that we raise during this campaign are essential to a successful year.
Students have the opportunity to fundraise through the website and win raffle prizes! If you are registered on the site and updated your child’s teacher for this school year, your child already has a fundraising page that you can customize, and share.

Chess Club

CHESS CLUB
Chess Club meetings are held on Mondays at 7:30am in the Media Center and Science Lab, starting Oct. 3. Chess is a game which helps students build concentration, confidence and creativity. Students of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate! For grades K-2, we ask that you consider if your child has a demonstrated interest in the game.
An optional informational meeting will be held virtually over Zoom on Tuesday, Sep. 27 at 7pm.
*Zoom link will be sent out the day of the meeting.
