Yes I Can Basketball is coming to OPES this fall! K-5 Boys & girls will receive detailed skills training that will include the fundamentals of ball handling, shooting, passing, and more! We will combine our best drills with our most fun games and contests making each meeting a blast for all participants.

Let Me Run

ATTN 3RD-5TH GRADE BOYS! Let Me Run starts October 14th at OP! Practices will be on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:15-4:30pm. Contact Jason Bailey at jasonb@letmerun.org or (203) 247-2142 for more details.

 

Through the power of running Let Me Run inspires boys to be courageous, to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle.  The boys train 2 times a week for 7 weeks and compete in an end of Season 5K.

Chess Club meetings are held on Mondays at 7:30am starting Sept. 9. Chess is a game which helps students build concentration, confidence and creativity. Students of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate! For Kindergarten, we ask that you consider if your child has a demonstrated interest in the game.

Twist Kids Yoga

Twist Kids Foundation is back for an 8-week Fall session of Yoga & Mindfulness for students from K- 5th grades. Classes meet Tuesdays 3:15-4:15pm, 1st-5th Grade, starts October 7th.

Musical Theater

Musical Theater 

In this energetic class, students K-5 will learn to portray different characters and roles while mastering proper technique and showmanship. Musical Theater classes incorporate both jazz dance technique and acting, helping students build confidence, foster adaptability, and unleash their creativity. Aligned with the principles of a Leader in Me school, this class encourages leadership, teamwork, and personal growth, empowering students to shine both on and off the stage.This is a 13 week session starting September 11th and ending December 18th. Class is held every Thursday from 3:15-4:15pm.

Signing Squad

We're excited to offer Signing Squad, a fun and engaging afterschool camp where students will learn the foundational skills of American Sign Language (ASL).  This 9-week session is open to all ages and grade levels, and no prior experience is needed.  Spots are limited to just 15 students, so sign up fast!
