Bookfair Shopping

Friday September 11 - Friday September 18

During School

All students will come with their class during their assigned media special to shop at the bookfair. Parents are welcome to come shop with their child. Parents will need to bring ID and sign in on the Raptor kiosk at the front office before coming to the media center. You can find the class shopping schedule here.

Students absent during their assigned shopping day can come to make-up shopping on Friday September 18 from 10:05-11:00 with permission from their teacher.  

Before School

We will also have open shopping times before school from 7:45-8:15 Monday 9/11-Friday 9/18. *Please note, there will be no morning shopping on Friday 9/11 before school. Students must be accompanied by an adult to come during this time. Enter through the school main door and adults will need a photo ID to sign in.

After School

The bookfair will be open during Curriculum Night Thursday March 12 from 4:30-6:00 for evening shopping. Every purchase made during evening shopping will get a raffle ticket to win a prize basket of bookfair goodies. Winners will be announced Friday morning.

Payment Options

If you would like a cashless option for your child, Scholastic offers an eWallet that you can fund for your child to shop with at the fair. After a lot of feedback, Scholastic has updated the eWallets to now carry over from Fair to Fair, making it simple for families to access and manage remaining funds at any time.

Other payment options are cash, check payable to Olde Providence Elementary PTA (change can be given), credit cards, tap-to-pay options such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. No debit cards that require a pin. 

Share the Fair!

If you would like to help all of our OP Knights be able to shop with their classmates, consider donating to our “Share the Fair” fund. This money stays at our school to directly help our students. Donate while setting up your eWallet or click here. 

Classroom Donations

Help our teachers build classroom libraries! Each teacher will have a bin at the bookfair filled with books that they would like to add to their classroom. You can purchase at the bookfair, fill out a sticker to put inside the book to say it was donated by you. Then leave the book in the “purchased for teachers box” to get delivered at the end of the fair. 

Volunteer

Lots of help will be needed to set up the fair, help children shop during school, run cash registers, and pack up after the fair. Pick a time slot (or several) here to come in and help! (You do not need to sign up to shop with your child.)  All adults entering the building during school hours will sign in with ID, to volunteer you must be a registered volunteer through CMS.
